1. Ali and Nino Statue
One of Batumi’s most iconic landmarks, symbolizing the cultural bridge between Georgia and Azerbaijan. Though it looks large in photos, it's smaller in real life. The statues move around 7 PM, making evenings the best time to visit.
2. Alphabet Tower
This tower was built to celebrate the uniqueness of the Georgian alphabet and culture.
3. Argo Cable Car
Offers panoramic views of Batumi. (Round trip: 30 GEL. We didn’t ride due to the cold weather.)
4. St. Nicholas Church
Built in 1865, this church reflects traditional Georgian architecture and religious heritage.
5. Batumi Drama Theatre
A cultural landmark built in 1952, hosting various art and cultural events.
6. Cathedral of the Mother of God
Completed in 1903, this is a significant example of 19th-century Georgian religious architecture.
7. Neptune Fountain (Poseidon Fountain)
Located in the city square, it features sea-themed sculptures and is a popular photo spot.
8. Europe Square
A central hub for shopping, relaxing, and social events. Batumi's Christmas markets are held here.
9. Piazza Square
Famous for its architecture, cafes, shops, and hotels. It was quiet during my visit.
10. Batumi Botanical Garden
Founded in 1912, this massive garden is home to thousands of plant species and perfect for nature lovers.
11. Batumi Aquapark
A water park with pools and slides, ideal for families and children.
12. McDonald’s Batumi
Designed by famous architect Giorgi Khmaladze, this futuristic glass structure resembles a spaceship.
13. 6 May Park
A public park with a central lake, popular among locals for leisure and relaxation.
14. Princess Casino Batumi
Located near Europe Square. You receive a card after registration, which you can load with money to play games.
Additional Tips:
* There are several shopping malls in Batumi, though none are very large.
* Carrefour is open even during some holidays.
* Georgia has official holidays when most stores, especially tech shops, are closed. For example, on January 1st and 2nd, only Carrefour was open. Always check the holiday schedule before planning your shopping.
