Plaza Premium Lounge Penang: Good Coffee, Modest Breakfast

I had a chance to visit the Plaza Premium Lounge at Penang International Airport for breakfast, and overall, it was a decent experience. The lounge itself has a cozy atmosphere with comfortable seating.

For breakfast, the buffet spread was fairly simple. There were staples like scrambled eggs, toast, and pastries, along with a few local options such as nasi lemak and fried noodles. I grabbed a plate of nasi lemak, which was decent, though the sambal could have had a bit more kick. The pastries were fresh, and the coffee was surprisingly good smooth and not too bitter.

One downside was that some food trays emptied quickly, and refills took a while. If you arrive at a busy time, you might have to wait for certain dishes. The staff were polite but seemed a bit overwhelmed with the number of guests.

Overall, it’s a convenient place to grab a light breakfast before a flight, but don’t expect an extensive spread. If you prefer a larger variety, you might be better off grabbing food elsewhere in the airport.
