A Magical Visit to Shengfang Ancient Town

A while back, I had the pleasure of visiting Shengfang Ancient Town during its Spring Lantern Festival. The town was transformed into a dreamlike world of lanterns, with traditional lanterns, large installations, and red silk lights adorning the streets. Walking hand-in-hand with my loved one, it felt like we had stepped back in time.

We were treated to over 40 spectacular folk performances, including stilt walkers, flag shows, drum performances, and cart dances, with additional shows from Beijing and Tianjin. The artisans demonstrated the art of Shengfang lantern-making, and the traditional New Year customs were vividly brought to life, rekindling the joy of childhood celebrations.

It was an unforgettable experience, filled with culture and history, making me feel like I had journeyed through centuries.
