Beihai Guantouling is a great spot to watch the sunset, with several beaches nearby, including one right below the Sheraton Hotel. The mountains meet the sea, creating a beautiful sunset view. It is currently the low season for tourism in Beihai, so there are very few guests at the Sheraton, and the hotel has closed rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. The hotel is somewhat remote with no surrounding amenities, but the scenery is truly wonderful, offering a prime sea view at a very attractive price. Staying here is like having a quiet vacation.

A little introduction to Beihai Guantouling: it is located at the westernmost end of Beihai City, stretching 3 kilometers long. It consists of the main peak Wanglouling and the mountain groups Fengmenling, Yajiling, Tianmaling, and others. It extends northeast to the southern foot of Shibuling and connects underground with Shibuling and Dijiaoling.

The entire ridge is named for its dome-like shape resembling a crown. The mountain is made of sandstone, and its western slope has been eroded by waves into steep cliffs. Below the rocks, the crashing waves and roaring tides create the famous "Dragon Rock Tide Sound," a major scenic attraction in Beihai.

When dusk quietly falls, if you have time and the weather is clear, you can calmly enjoy the spectacular sight of the sunset slowly sinking into the sea.
