A Great Place for Summer Outings and Photography with Kids | Exploring 'The Closest Place to the Milky Way'

During the scorching summer days☀️, our routine outings with the kids have shifted indoors. This weekend, I took the little ones👦 to visit the Phoenix Center next to Chaoyang Park, where we took photos, checked in, and casually browsed an exhibition🖼️. It was a very leisurely and comfortable experience.

The Phoenix Center, as the Beijing headquarters of Phoenix Satellite Television, features an architectural design inspired by the Möbius strip♾️. Coupled with its spacious areas and very modern architectural style, it quickly became a popular spot for social media check-ins and photography📸.

⭕️What to do with kids?
✅Photography: At the entrance of the Phoenix Center, there is a specially designed photo guide booklet🗺️ next to the reception desk, which clearly marks the most classic photo spots📍 from the 1st to the 5th floor with diagrams and reference photos. This is very convenient for those who love photography📷.
✅Exhibitions: The Phoenix Center is currently hosting the 'Jean-François Hagenmuller: Impressions of the Vast' exhibition. By purchasing🎫 an exhibition ticket, you can also visit the Phoenix Center, which is a great deal. Hagenmuller🧑‍🎨 is a pioneer of vast photography art. He captures urban landscapes or 🛕heritage buildings with a telephoto lens and then assembles thousands of snapshots into surreal worlds, showcasing a very unique📷 visual photography art. The exhibition features over 80 of his works and runs until September 1st. There is also a free🆓 guided tour service available from 14:00 to 15:00 every day.
✅Gallery Tour: The Phoenix Center has a section open to visitors where a video🎦 about the Phoenix Center is shown in the corridor, narrated by Phoenix TV presenter👩‍💼 Wu Xiaoli in holographic form. Through the glass windows, visitors can see inside one of their studios; additionally, on the 4th floor, there is a small exhibition hall displaying the many architectural awards🏆 the Phoenix Center has won, as well as some of its structure and functions.
✅Viewing: To facilitate visits, the Phoenix Center extends its visiting hours during weekends and holidays. In the evening, the building lights up💡, presenting a different scene from the natural daylight☀️, and feels more futuristic. If time allows, it is recommended to visit during this time to see the different appearances of day and night🌃.

⭕️Other:
🔸There is a coffee shop☕️ inside the open area of the gallery where you can sit down and take a break. There are staff members🧑‍💼 on site, so feel free to ask them if you have any questions.
🔸To enter the Phoenix Center for a visit, you need to collect a visitor's pass🪪 at the reception desk, which you can keep as a souvenir after your visit.
🔸Gallery tour + exhibition + photography, the estimated visiting time is about 1.5-2 hours⏱️.
