My favorite vacation town, absolutely stunning!

Pre-trip Preparation

- Essentials: Non-slip shoes, power bank, sunscreen, sunhat, umbrella. Bring a tripod for fireworks photography.

Transportation Guide

- Self-drive: ~2.5hrs from Shanghai/Hangzhou/Nanjing. Navigate to "Yaohu Town P1 Parking" (¥5/24hrs).
- High-speed rail: Yixing Station (23km/30min drive) or Liyang Station (34km/40min drive). Take Bus 206 to Visitor Center.
- Flights: Arrive at Nanjing Lukou/Changzhou Benniu/Wuxi Shuofang airports, then drive to town.

Attractions

- Cloud Train: Day version passes bamboo forests (right window seats recommended). Night version features cyberpunk carriages with Friday/Saturday fireworks specials during 20:00 water shows.
- Dragon Show & Fireworks: Nightly water projection with laser/fountain effects (20:00/19:30 winter). Fireworks added Fri-Sat. Best view at East Chunbo Bridge.
- Cultural Experiences: Bamboo-stilt performances, Saturday 10:30 kiln-opening ceremony, Zisha pottery workshops at Fanli Studio.
- Bamboo Rat Water Park: 30+ summer attractions like rainbow slides/wave pool. Winter offers hot springs and indoor spa.

Dining

- Wuse Yibang Restaurant: ~¥50/person for black rice dumplings and mugwort cakes.
- Cui Yuanxing: Authentic Jiangnan cuisine in Hui-style architecture (braised pork, trotters, Zisha cakes).
- Yaohu Night Market: Lamb noodles (¥10), sugarcane juice (¥5), vibrant street food.

- Yaohu Grand Hotel: 600+ rooms with private hot springs. Includes breakfast + night show tickets. Star-gazing terraces.
- Longchi·Lanshanju: Cream-colored villa (518㎡) with mahjong room/kitchen for families.

Notes

- Pets not allowed (kennel service at Visitor Center).
- Avoid weekends 10:00-15:00. Arrive before 9:00 or after 16:00.
- Don't touch unfired pottery in dragon kiln. No food in Zisha Sanctuary.
