Currently the largest national film museum in the world, it is a landmark building commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Chinese film. It was officially opened to the public on February 10, 2007. In 2020, it was selected into the "Fourth Batch of National First-Class Museums List", covering an area of 52 acres and a construction area of nearly 38,000 square meters.
