💡 Tips: After the tour, you can continue east to visit Beihai, Jingshan, the Corner Tower, and May Fourth Street. Beijing Lu Xun Museum, Miaoying Temple White Pagoda, and Red Building Public Library are closed on Mondays, and the Temple of Emperors of Successive Dynasties is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Check-in Points:
✅ Beijing Lu Xun Museum: It has Lu Xun's former residence and exhibition. The museum introduces Lu Xun's life on a timeline. The cats inside may scratch, so don't pet them.
✅ Miaoying Temple White Pagoda: It is considered the oldest landmark in Beijing. The surrounding hutongs are worth a visit, and there are many shops worth checking out. The red wall to the east is a great place to take photos with the White Pagoda.
✅ Temple of Emperors of Successive Dynasties: Also known as the Temple of Emperors, it enshrines the tablets of 188 emperors of successive dynasties in China. The architecture is similar to the Forbidden City, so if you can't get a ticket to the Forbidden City, you should come here.
✅ Chijian Hongci Guangji Temple: One of the "Eight Temples" in Beijing, it is now the site of the Buddhist Association of China. If you want to find love, you should come here to pray.
✅ Zhengyang Bookstore: A specialty bookstore that only collects and sells books related to Beijing. It tells the story of Beijing's past and present. Wansong Laoren Pagoda is located in the courtyard.
✅ Red Building Public Library: It was transformed from the original Red Building Cinema in Xisi. The entrance has some anime content, so if you don't want to read, it's not recommended to come here.
✅ Xishiku Church: One of the four major churches in Beijing, it was originally called the Church of the Savior. It has a Chinese and Western architectural style, and the stained glass windows inside are very beautiful.
✅ Old Site of Beiping Library: It was originally the site of the National Beiping Library and the first national academy. It is now the National Library of China Ancient Books Library. The green Ming and Qing style architecture is very unique.
