Taoranting Park is located at the northwest corner of Taoran Bridge, Xicheng District, Beijing. You can take Metro Line 4 directly to Taoranting Station.
Taoranting Park was named after the line "Wait till the chrysanthemums turn yellow and the wine is ripe, so that we can get drunk and be intoxicated together" from Bai Juyi's poem "Drinking with Meng De and Making an Appointment for Later Date". The park is themed on pavilions, and has the Famous Chinese Pavilions Garden at the west gate, which is dotted with imitations of famous pavilions from all over the country, including the Lanting Pavilion, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Canglang Pavilion, Chuiting, etc. There are rockery and waterside pavilions in the garden, which is especially great for fun in summer. In the summer evenings, visitors can stroll in the park, climb the hills, walk along the lakeside, take a rest, take photos, enjoy the flowers, or watch the fish, each has its own fun.
