The Spring Festival is the most magnificent and grand traditional festival of the Chinese nation. To welcome the New Year, the Chinese people use dark-colored brushstrokes to depict the birth of the new year and the life of all things being renewed, showing the vigorous spirit and beautiful vision of the Chinese people.
The folk events celebrating the New Year are colorful and diverse. From the Rapal Festival, the Boy's Day, New Year's Eve, the Spring Festival, and the Lunar New Year, all kinds of New Year's customs are like a play, unfolding in a cycle and advancing layer by layer, expressing the long-held wish for harmony between heaven and man, and all things growing together, and cultivating the virtues of being friendly, respectful, gentle, and harmonious, stimulating a progressive and higher spirit, speaking of benevolence, and valuing and protecting the people. "The pursuit of trustworthiness, justice, mutual harmony, and great unity appears at the moment when the old and the new alternate, and is engraved in the time of the passing of time."
In December 2024, "The Spring Festival - Chinese People's Social Practices of Celebrating the Traditional New Year" was listed as UNESCO's representative works of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. To mark this occasion, the Spring Festival theme exhibition was held to artistically transform representative programs of the intangible cultural heritage related to the Spring Festival, so that no matter where you come from, you can feel the atmosphere of your hometown's Lunar New Year, and the Spring Festival shows the trustworthy, lovely, and respectable appearance of the Chinese nation.
