We arrived at Jingshan Park early in the morning and walked slowly from the foot of the mountain up while there were not many tourists. It only took about ten minutes to reach the top. Standing on the platform at the top of the mountain, the entire Forbidden City spreads out before your eyes, with its overlapping roofs and majestic appearance. It is one of the most classic bird's-eye views in Beijing.
Jingshan Park is particularly quiet in the early morning, the air is fresh, and you can still feel the life atmosphere of Beijing's old city. Many elderly people in the park come here early to do morning exercises, practice Tai Chi, and chat, and the atmosphere is very down-to-earth. This relaxing hike not only stretches your muscles, but also allows you to take in the history and city scenery. It is recommended that you plan it into your Beijing itinerary!
▶️【Traffic Information】
Subway route: Take Beijing Subway Line 5 to Dongsi Station, or Line 6 to Nanluoguxiang Station, then walk or take a shared bike to the South Gate of Jingshan Park, which is about 10-15 minutes away.
Bus recommendations: Take buses 101, 103, 109, 124, the Forbidden City Sightseeing Bus, etc., and get off at "Jingshan Front Street" or "Jingshan West Street".
📸【Best time to take photos】
7:00 - 9:00 AM: The light is soft and the air is fresh, which is suitable for taking photos of the layered rooftops of the Forbidden City without too many people.
Dusk and sunset: The setting sun shines on the roof of the Forbidden City, and the golden light and shadow are super dreamy. It is a popular time for photography enthusiasts.
