Four Seasons Minfu | Peking Duck

When in Beijing, you can't miss the most iconic dish - Peking Duck! As soon as we landed, we headed straight to the highly recommended old restaurant 'Four Seasons Minfu'. The entrance was so understated that we almost missed it, but once inside, it was bustling with people, proving its popularity. Although we waited nearly an hour to be seated, it was all worth it.

This time, we ordered half a crispy and tender roast duck, duck pancakes, Beijing crispy meat pot, marinated pea shoots, and a royal snack platter. The roast duck was indeed the star of the show, with its thin, crispy skin that melted in your mouth when paired with sugar, carrying a rich aroma of fat that made you want more with each bite. Unfortunately, the portion of duck meat was a bit small, leaving us wanting more.

The Beijing crispy meat pot was also very impressive, with a rich broth and flavorful, non-greasy crispy meat, and the pot was filled with a variety of ingredients, making every bite satisfying. The marinated pea shoots were refreshing and appetizing, with a slight sour taste, paired with crispy fried potato strips, offering a rich texture and making it a perfect summer side dish.
