A Little Busy Bee's Royal City Escape

This year's Dragon Boat Festival coincided with Children's Day! Between two intense hockey matches, my second child and I dashed to the fifth-floor terrace of Zishan Court at Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing Beijing for some whimsical Children's Day fun – absolutely unforgettable!

The hotel's specially crafted children's activities were heart-melting! We went wild making DIY teddy bear cookies – using chocolate chips for eyes, frosting for crazy hairstyles, and insisting on decorating them with "candy bead sachets" to create "warriors who can defeat zongzi monsters"👑

We also adorned Steiff teddy bears and brought one home as a treasured Children's Day keepsake. Truly, happiness hides in every stolen moment of leisure💘
