Forbidden City 🏯

The Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, is a landmark of Beijing with over 600 years of history. It is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site 🌎.

Located in the heart of Beijing, it was once a restricted area for the public, serving as the residence of emperors, concubines, court ladies, eunuchs, and officials. Today, it has been transformed into a museum, allowing visitors to explore certain sections.

The palace spans approximately 450 acres and contains 9,999 rooms, including throne halls, libraries, and secret chambers.

How to get there: Take subway Line 1 to Tiananmendong Station and exit at Exit D.

Ticket booking: Tickets must be reserved 7 days in advance via the official website. Visitors can choose between two time slots:
• Morning: 08:30-12:00
• Afternoon: 11:00-16:00

Admission fee: 60 yuan (includes gallery access)
- The Gallery of Clocks: A museum showcasing various types of clocks.
- The Treasure Gallery: Exhibits featuring precious jewelry.

Audio guide rental is available for 40 yuan.
