Wangjiang Plum Blossom Viewing

Spring has arrived in Sichuan, and the banks of the Jin River are covered in a red haze. At the end of Jiuyan Bridge, the red plum blossom corridor stretches for 800 meters, with the flowers blooming quietly.

Enter through the south gate, and the fragrance of the flowers will cling to your clothes like mist. At the corner of Zhuojin Tower, you will see several red plum branches passing through the corridor, like a beautiful woman looking out the window with flowers in her hair. The ancient plum trees in front of Chongli Pavilion are the most beautiful, with their gnarled branches supporting the red flowers in the air, and the glazed eaves and the river waves complementing them. The light and shadow here are the most wonderful, with the morning sun shining on the plum branches and the evening light dyeing the flowers, and the copper bells on the eaves ringing in the wind, causing the red petals to fall on the carved railings.

The poetic atmosphere of "listening to the spring rain in the small building" still lingers by Xue Tao Well, and now visitors can walk slowly along the mossy path with umbrellas or sit on the beauty's couch and watch the river water break the plum blossom shadows. Suddenly, a painted boat breaks through the misty waves, carrying a cabin full of fallen flowers downstream, as if traveling through a thousand years of time. The century-old plum trees in the cultural relics area are best for boiling snow and brewing tea, while the green calyx plum tree at the corner of the north gate is the perfect embodiment of the poetic scene of "the sparse shadows slant across the shallow water."

① Best time to view: From the beginning of spring to the rainy season (around mid-February)
② Recommended photography spots: The corridor on the east side of Chongli Pavilion, the curved bridge of Liubei Pool, the bamboo shadow wall of Yinshi Tower
③ Fragrance route: South gate → Wuyunxian Pavilion → Liubei Pool → Chongli Pavilion → Zhuojin Tower → Xue Tao Well
④ When the fragrance is floating, you can bring a bamboo tube to collect the fallen plum blossoms and make plum blossom wine at home
