The Forbidden City, also known as the Forbidden City, is a magnificent ancient palace complex in the heart of Beijing. Built during the Ming Dynasty over 600 years ago, it served as the residence of 24 emperors. It is the largest wooden palace in the world, covering an area of over 720,000 square meters, surrounded by high walls and a moat. Its architecture is authentically traditional Chinese. Inside, there are over 8,000 rooms, each filled with art, antique collections, and ancient paintings.

How to get there: Take Metro Line 1 to Tiananmen East or Tiananmen West, then walk 10 minutes to the entrance.
