Recommended Western Steak Restaurants in Beijing's Sanlitun!

Passing through Beijing, I met up with friends for a meal near Sanlitun and chose CHAR Bar & Grill on the third floor of the InterContinental Hotel. Take the elevator from the hotel lobby to the third floor, turn left, and you'll find the restaurant. The location is great, the ambiance is pleasant and quiet, making it perfect for business dinners or casual meals. The restaurant faces Taikoo Li Sanlitun directly, and dining here in the evening really amps up the atmosphere!

Starter: Slow-roasted Chicken Salad, made with cherry tomatoes, arugula, red coral lettuce, spider lettuce hearts, oranges, and more. The presentation was quite appealing!
Soup: Lobster Bisque. This was my first time trying lobster bisque, and honestly, it was quite impressive—rich broth with lobster meat, scallops, mussels, Italian parsley, and light cream. One sip and I was hooked!

The most ceremonial part was selecting the salt for the steak and the steak presentation itself. We had the Applewood-grilled Australian M2 Grass-fed Tenderloin. The staff brought it out in a box, and when opened, the steaming hot steak made for a truly special moment.

Overall, the dining experience was excellent. The staff were warm and attentive, with special thanks to Liu Lingfeng for their thoughtful service and arrangements!
