Built in 1530 during the Ming Dynasty, this 37.4-hectare park is:
· One of Beijing's Four Altars (with Temple of Heaven, Sun, Moon)
· Where emperors prayed for harvests at summer solstice
· Better preserved than Temple of Heaven with 90% ancient cypresses
