Jingqing Studio, another must-see in Beijing

#TravelTalk

This studio is located in Beihai Park, a park near the Forbidden City. Admission is 10 yuan. For those interested in Beijing's history, this is another place worth visiting, as it's relatively unknown due to its small number of foreign tourists.

History of Jingqing Studio
Jingqing Studio (meaning "Transparent Glass") is the main structure of Jingxin Studio Garden. The building spans five bays. The main hall has a corridor in front, a bell tower at the back, and balconies surrounding a rectangular pond on all four sides, reflecting the designer's emphasis on the water's beauty. The Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795) described the building's elegance in a poem: "Sitting in the house facing the lake, it's as if looking into a mirror." The building's nameplate bears the official signature of the renowned Chinese diplomat Lu Zhengxiang (1871-1942).
