🌿 End your Beijing day in a lush atmosphere at “Beihai Park”.

#BeijingTravel

After walking around the grandeur of the Summer Palace, our legs started to get tired, but our hearts still wanted to soak up the ancient Chinese atmosphere. So we pinned Beihai Park, a large public park in the heart of Beijing, not far from the Forbidden City. It is considered one of the oldest imperial gardens in China.

🚶♂️When we arrived, we immediately felt the greenness — there is a large lake in the middle of the park. The cool breeze gently helped relieve the heat from the afternoon sun very well. In the middle of the lake, there is a small island with a White Dagoba standing tall on the top of the mountain, which is the symbol of Beihai Park.

We chose to take a leisurely paddle boat to enjoy the view around the lake. The sunlight reflecting off the water surface and the sound of birds was very relaxing. If anyone wants to take pictures in an ancient Chinese style, there are many Ming-Qing Dynasty style buildings to walk around here. Or walk around the stone bridge, which is as cute as being in a scene from a period drama.

🫖 End the day with a warm cup of tea at a small shop in the park. Listen to the rustling leaves and feel like you've been transported to the world of classical Chinese poetry.
