Within Dajue Temple, there are four distinctive ginkgo trees distributed around the site, located in front of and behind the central hall and in the northern courtyard. In front of the Amitabha Buddha Hall, the northern male tree is over a thousand years old and is known as the "West Mountain Ginkgo King," with upright branches; the southern female tree is full of fruit in autumn. In the northern courtyard, there is the ancient ginkgo called "Nine Sons Embracing the Mother," over 500 years old, with nine small ginkgo trees surrounding the main trunk. Near the mountain gate in the northern courtyard, there is the "Dragon and Phoenix Tree," a male and female tree growing together; in golden autumn, only half of the canopy bears fruit, revealing the genders. Emperor Qianlong once wrote a poem about the ginkgo, and his great-grandson also mentioned it in poetry. In 1929, Bing Xin and Wu Wenzao spent romantic moments here after their wedding. Come to Dajue Temple and encounter this stunning autumn scenery and touching stories!
