Hey friends, Northeast China in autumn hides a secret that will make your heart beat a thousand times - that is the breathtakingly beautiful maple leaves. In Benxi and Huanren, Liaoning, during the National Day holiday every year, nature is like an overturned color palette, and an autumn fairy tale is staged here. Last year I went from October 4th to 8th, but the leaves were not yet fully red, so this year I can go earlier. Remember to pay attention to the "Benxi Maple Red Index Release Platform". There will be real-time reports starting in late September.
Travel tips: Take the high-speed rail directly to Benxi Station, or go to Shenyang first and then drive. It is recommended to go to Huanren Scenic Area first (at high altitude, the leaves turn red early), and then to Benxi Scenic Area. Must-see attractions in Benxi:
1. Laobiangou: a must-see! Enter the scenic area in the afternoon, stay one night, and get up early the next day to tour. The core scenic area is downstream.
2. Dashi Lake: It is close to Laobiangou and can be visited in one day. The further you go in, the fewer people there are.
3. Dadi Forest Park: There are few people, there is a maple leaf stream, and you can take the shuttle bus or not.
4. Guanmen Mountain: A classic scenic spot, but there were too many people, so I didn’t go this time.
Must-see attractions in Huanren:
1. Wunü Mountain: A good place to watch the sunrise and sea of clouds, but you have to get up early and climb the 999 steps.
2. Maple Valley: There is a stream at the foot of the mountain. The maple leaves on the mountain turn red early, but the area is not large.
