Hello! It's Mayan ☀️ Do you know about the Beppu Jigoku Tour? It's a tourist spot that takes you around the seven hells that are also designated as national scenic spots! Of the seven, each with its own unique appearance and anecdote, I'll introduce "Umi Jigoku" and "Blood Pond Jigoku". You can actually enjoy a foot bath, and there are also spots where you can buy buns and souvenirs, so each one was quite a fun place ~ The unique smell of the hot spring is also a fun thing. lol Please come and experience the beauty of the mysterious colors! A joint ticket that allows you to visit the seven hells is ¥2000 for adults ~
📍Umi Jigoku The largest of Beppu's hells, Umi Jigoku, is a cobalt blue color, and is so beautiful that it's not appropriate to call it hell. The blue color of the pond is said to be due to the dissolved iron sulfate in the hot spring! In the park, the hot spring heat is used to cultivate giant water lilies (water lilies) native to the Amazon region and tropical water lilies. The flowering season is from early May to early November, and the best time to see them is in the mornings☀️
📍Blood Pond Hell Blood Pond Hell is the oldest natural hell in Japan, existing for over 1300 years, and was recorded as "Akayusen" in the book "Bungo no Kuni Fudoki" compiled during the Nara period. Red hot mud containing iron oxide, magnesium oxide, etc., which naturally reacts with each other under high temperature and pressure underground, erupts from the strata and accumulates, staining the entire pond red. In a word, it is a "red hot mud pond"🟥
