[Beppu] A valuable museum displaying many exquisite bamboo crafts✨

[Beppu City Traditional Bamboo Crafts Industry Hall]

Bamboo crafts made using traditional techniques.
The masterpieces made by master craftsmen using their excellent techniques are a highlight⭐️

You can learn about the charm of bamboo itself, such as its growth and types, and there is also a video corner where you can see how bamboo crafts are made.

I couldn't take any photos because some things can be photographed and some can't, but I was particularly impressed by the intricate baskets with gradations made by a Japanese national treasure.

There is a small kids' corner where you can play with bamboo, and a large salon workshop on the second floor.

The museum shop sells chopsticks and flower baskets, so it's nice to be able to purchase them easily😊
There is a bamboo forest outside the window of the attached cafe!
I visited in winter, but there were magnificent bamboo towering above. It seems to become even greener in summer.

It's small, but it's a wonderful museum♪ Recommended when you want to feel the Japanese atmosphere😊

There is no elevator, but there is a wheelchair lift, so you can safely use the stairs.
