Hachiman Asami Shrine

During the Dragon Boat Festival, I went on vacation to Oita. Hachiman Asami Shrine is located in Usa City, Oita Prefecture, and is a shrine rich in history and cultural significance. This shrine is dedicated to Hachiman, and along with Usa Shrine, it is one of the key representatives of Hachiman worship. However, compared to Usa Shrine, the atmosphere here is more tranquil and solemn.

The shrine's architectural style is elegant, especially its grand torii gate and expansive grounds, which immediately evoke a sense of sacredness and serenity upon entering. The shrine also preserves many ancient rituals and traditional activities, allowing visitors to experience the deep-rooted Japanese culture.
