🍔 McDonald’s Beppu – A Familiar Name with a Japanese Twist đŸ‡ŻđŸ‡”

During our trip to Beppu, my daughter got hungry, so we popped into the local McDonald’s for a quick bite—and it turned out to be a fun little discovery.

The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and had ample parking right outside, making it really convenient for travelers. What stood out to us was how different the menu was compared to what we’re used to in Singapore. Japan’s McDonald’s offers localized options like the soy beef thick patty burger and the ebi (shrimp) burger, which you definitely won’t find back home.

We also noticed that the chicken McNuggets came in 5 pieces here, instead of the usual 6 in Singapore—not a big deal, but just one of those quirky regional differences. My daughter loved her burger, and we grabbed some cakes from McCafĂ©, which were surprisingly good for fast food desserts.

It’s still McDonald’s at heart, but the unique regional touches and spotless environment made it a pleasant stop during our Beppu adventure.
