If you're visiting the Berlin Cathedral area, don't miss a stop at Museum Island.
This island is home to five world-class museums, housed on a small island in the middle of the Spree River. The atmosphere around the cathedral is so beautiful you'll want to freeze time.

The most famous is the Pergamon Museum, but it was closed for renovations when we visited, so we couldn't visit. Such a shame! 🥲
There's also the Neues Museum (with its mummy and Nefertiti's mask), the Altes Museum (with its Greek and Roman artifacts), the Bode Museum, and the Alte Nationalgalerie, filled with classic European art. Art and history lovers will definitely fall in love.

For those short on time, you don't even need to visit the interior; just wander around the island is a delight. The atmosphere is truly European, with plenty of places to sit and take photos.
