2-Day Guide to Guizhou's Hidden Gems

I just returned from a trip to Bijie and was completely amazed! While Guiyang and Libo are Guizhou's most famous destinations, Bijie's landscapes are surprisingly breathtaking. I stayed at Bijie Hongyin Hotel, which was incredibly convenient with its proximity to downtown attractions. Here's my 2-day, 1-night off-the-beaten-path itinerary👇

🚗【2-Day Itinerary】
Day 1: Axilixi Grassland → Jiudongtian Scenic Area → Bijie City
The sunrise at Axilixi Grassland moved me to tears! Every shot looks like a Windows desktop wallpaper. In the afternoon, explore the underground karst caves at Jiudongtian (bring a jacket as it's about 5°C cooler). Returned to Bijie Hongyin Hotel in the evening (address: Baili Azalea Avenue, Qixingguan District, downtown Bijie) - just 5 minutes' drive to the food street.

Day 2: Zhijin Cave → Return
Headed straight to Zhijin Cave on day two. As one of "China's Top 10 Most Beautiful Caves," it's truly spectacular. The 3-hour tour left my legs sore, but seeing those million-year-old stalactites made it worthwhile!

🍖【Must-Try Foods】
1. Zhijin Luoguo: A local night market favorite, available at Tongxin Road Night Market just 1km from the hotel
2. Lamb Rice Noodles: Bijie's breakfast staple - even better with chili
3. Sour Fish Soup: A Guizhou specialty, recommend Miao Amei Sour Fish Soup (Kaixing Road branch in Qixingguan District)

📌【Practical Tips】
1. Recommend chartered cars between attractions - we found local drivers for 300 yuan/day
2. Hongyin Hotel has its own parking lot, perfect for self-drive trips
3. Jiudongtian requires advance ticket reservations due to daily visitor limits
4. Always carry an umbrella as Guizhou weather changes frequently
