The beauty of Iceland is both raw and ever-changing. From the strange rocks, straw hat mountains and black churches on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula to the black sand beaches, glacial lakes and waterfalls on the south coast...
▪① Snaefellsnes Peninsula volcanic fissure|Músagjá
Músagjá is an undiscovered but visually striking rift valley landscape on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, with a complex structure of volcanic rock layers.
▪② Monster Coast|Lóndrangar
The volcanic lava solidified into two huge stone pillars by the sea, which looked like giants guarding the coast from a distance.
▪③ The red house for testing eyesight|Ingjaldshólskirkja
A red-roofed church stands alone on the hill. From a distance, it looks like a red dot testing eyesight, but up close, it is as pure as a fairy tale. When taking photos on a sunny day, the background is the Snæfellsnes glacier cap, while on a cloudy day, it has a more apocalyptic movie feel.
▪④-⑤ Straw Hat Mountain|Kirkjufell
One of Iceland's most popular landmarks, the mountain looks like a straw hat. You can see the mountain on a sunny day and the clouds on a rainy day.
▪⑥ Black Church|Búðakirkja
The minimalist black wooden structure is particularly powerful between the gray and white ground.
▪⑦ Seljalandsfoss
This classic Icelandic waterfall can be walked around from behind. It has a drop of 65 meters and the water curtain presents a golden halo at sunset.
▪⑧ Skógafoss Waterfall
When the water vapor is full, you can see a rainbow. Climb up the hillside next to the waterfall and you can overlook the entire scenic belt on the south coast of Iceland.
▪⑨ Cave near the black sand beach|Loftsalahellir Cave
A basalt cave hidden in the cliff
▪⑩-⑫ Scenery along the south bank
On the way to the Blue Ice Lake, you will see mountains, ice, sea and clouds all the way, and every shot you take will be a postcard.
▪⑬ Icelandic Horses
You will often encounter them along the way. They have a gentle temperament.
▪⑭ Blue Secret Waterfall|Brúarfoss
The Gem Falls hidden in the forest requires a short hike to reach. The blue you see after crossing the stone bridge seems like a private treasure Iceland has prepared for you.
▪⑮-⑯ Golden Waterfall|Gullfoss
There is a drop of two levels, like the deep mouth of a huge canyon, with turbulent water.
▪⑰ Bat Mountain|Vestrahorn
The Lone Mountain in the southeast corner of Iceland is a strange sight. The mountain is tall and angular, like a bat with its wings spread.
