📍Ancient salt wells, Nan Province

This ancient salt pond is a unique salt production site, featuring naturally occurring salt ponds. This salt comes from mountains, not seawater. It's the only place in the world where mountain salt is produced.

The water is extracted and boiled to evaporate, leaving behind only salt crystals. The pond from which the water is drawn is over 800 years old.
The salt produced is not only used for cooking, but also for spa treatments.
