My recent sea vacation in Bodrum was an absolute dream come true! 🌊🏝️ Nestled along Turkey’s southwest coast, Bodrum is like a postcard brought to life with its crystal-clear waters, charming whitewashed buildings, and vibrant bougainvillaea. The city itself has such a rich history and a laid-back vibe that makes it perfect for both relaxation and exploration. I spent most of my days soaking up the sun on the beaches – Gumbet Beach and Bitez Beach were my favorites. The water was incredibly clear and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and even trying out some jet skiing. 🚤

One of the highlights was a boat trip around the Aegean Sea, which cost around 200 TRY per person. We explored hidden coves, dived into the turquoise waters, and even spotted a few dolphins! 🐬 For those into history, the Bodrum Castle, which houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, is a must-see. Entrance fee to the castle was around 90 TRY, but it's worth every penny for the panoramic views of the city and the fascinating artifacts inside.

The evenings in Bodrum are equally captivating. The marina comes alive with twinkling lights, and the waterfront is lined with cozy cafes and seafood restaurants. I indulged in fresh grilled fish and meze at a local taverna while enjoying live music – pure magic! 🎶🍷 Nearby attractions like the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus and the ancient theater add a cultural touch to the trip.
