A city where time moves fast while we want to walk slowly

In the center of Piața Sfatului, once used for city leaders to meet and adjudicate cases, stands Casa Sfatului, a red-roofed building that doubles as the town hall, court of justice, and today serves as the local museum, "Casa Sfatului."

Brief information about Casa Sfatului:
• Built in 1420
• Used as the town hall and court of justice
• Currently, it is the Brașov History Museum
• The distinctive, tall clock tower was added later during the Renaissance
• "Casa Sfatului" means "House of Discussion."

Surrounding the square are pastel-colored buildings, whose ground floors are occupied by coffee shops and modern brands like Starbucks and Five to Go, harmoniously blending past and present without sacrificing the historic atmosphere.

Nearby is the Black Church, the largest Gothic church in Eastern Europe. It survived a major fire in 1689 and still hosts organ concerts every summer.

Brașov has no tall buildings or shopping malls—just cobblestone streets, cool air, and outdoor tables where people gather. Some cities don't need much to say because they teach us to "listen" for ourselves.
