Visit for a delightful Brussels art trip from 15th to contemporary art

A delightful surprise in Brussels, I found the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium on the way to Magritte museum.

Loved the paintings capturing European daily life, scenes of card games, studies, and quiet moments by the window (my new favorite theme!). The museum has a rich collection that offers a glimpse into the lifestyles and culture of the people through art.

Connected to the Musee Fin de Siecle and old masters museum, I especially enjoyed the seamless connection between the museums, which added depth to the visit, allowing time travel from 15th to 20th. Meet the notable artists like Bruegel, Rubens, Van Dyck and hidden gem contemporary Belgian artists.

I’d gladly return to appreciate my new favorite paintings, especially the one of the man gazing out the window, and walk around to explore the new artworks.
