Kanasi Lake Travel Guide

When traveling to Kanasi Lake, you must plan ahead—without a plan, it's a disaster!
On the first day, I went to Baihaba to see the filming location of "My Altay" and stayed overnight in Baihaba. Since I was road-tripping and slept in my car, I won't recommend accommodations! Park your car in Baihaba! (If you don’t have a car, you can bring your luggage to Kanasi Lake the next day and store it there.)

On the second day, wake up at 7 AM, freshen up, and head to [New Village Parking Lot] by 8 AM to catch the first shuttle to [Transfer Center], which takes about an hour. From there, take another shuttle to [Fish Watching Pavilion]. At this time, there are plenty of park buses, so you’ll only queue for about 10 minutes before boarding. At Fish Watching Pavilion, climb the stairs while taking photos—the descent follows a different route.

After exploring, take the shuttle back to [Transfer Center], then head to [Kanasi Lake]. If you have enough time, you can walk the entire loop around the lake. But if you want to cover all the attractions in one day, just take photos by the lakeside and move on—the scenery is similar all around and equally stunning, so no need to crowd at popular photo spots.

Exiting [Kanasi Lake], you’ll find shuttles by the roadside to [Transfer Center]. From there, transfer to the [Three Bays Shuttle]. After Moon Bay, you can get off and hike to Fairy Bay. After the last bay, this is crucial!!!! If you’re driving back to Baihaba, cross the road to catch the bus returning to [Transfer Center]. If you’re exiting the park directly, wait by the roadside for the bus to [Jiadengtai Visitor Center] to leave the park or head to Hemu! This is very important!
