This pork soup restaurant next to Busan Station is really popular. Even though I went there to avoid the peak dining hours, I still had to wait a little, but I got a seat in about ten minutes. People kept coming in during the meal and business was very good. The space inside the store is not large, but the table turnover is fast. Although the staff didn't speak English very well, they immediately took out the Chinese, English and Japanese menus when they saw that I was a foreigner, so there was no communication barrier at all.
The walls are covered with autographed photos of artists and celebrities, which shows how well-known this store is.
The soup here is more like the pepper pork belly hotpot style, with a distinct pepper aroma, and tastes very warm to the stomach. The ingredients are also generous, with plenty of pork slices, blood sausage and offal. It is recommended to pour white rice into the soup and eat it together, making it Korean soup rice. It is really delicious after absorbing the soup.
I especially recommend adding some of their shrimp paste and pickled chives - the shrimp paste is salty and fragrant, and has a great flavor-enhancing effect; the pickled chives make the soup more layered. But be aware that this leek has a lot of pickled juice. If you add too much into the soup at once, it may make the soup too salty. It is recommended to add a small amount, or eat it with a bite of leeks and a mouthful of soup and rice. This is the perfect way to eat it.
