Time to meet the sea and leisure
If you want to meet the sea in Seoul, Busan is the closest city but has a completely different atmosphere. You can get there in 2 and a half hours by KTX, and the beach, city, market, and alley are a great combination for a fulfilling trip.
1. Haeundae and Gwangalli
Haeundae, Busan's representative beach, is a place where wide white sandy beaches and a sophisticated city atmosphere come together. At Gwangalli, the lights of Gwangan Bridge spread over the sea at night, showing a night view that is hard to see in Seoul. Be sure to have a beer along the beach.
2. Gamcheon Culture Village and Taejongdae
Gamcheon Culture Village is a hilltop village lined with colorful houses, murals, and pretty shops. It's great for walking and taking pictures. Taejongdae is impressive for its blue sea and forests seen from the cliff. You can easily tour it by taking the Danubi Train.
3. Market and Busan Food
You can choose fresh seafood at Jagalchi Market and enjoy various foods and souvenirs at Gukje Market. Milmyeon, pig soup, and seed hotteok are representative Busan foods that you must try. You can also visit cafes in Jeonpo Cafe Street or Haeundae.
Busan is a city that is better for walking with your emotions than planning. Enjoy a leisurely trip with a view of the sea.
