Essential destinations for foreigners: Sokcho and Busan in Korea

1. A tranquil day in Sokcho, walking along the scent of the sea

Sokcho is a small and quiet city, which made it even more appealing to me. Early in the morning, I visited the Central Market and grabbed a warm squid sundae. I strolled leisurely along the food alley, and at the end of the path, the blue sea awaited me.

Sokcho Beach had a gentle breeze, and the sound of the waves was so calm that it felt soothing to the ears. Walking along the beach helped me organize my thoughts, and simply gazing at the scenery was enough to bring peace. It was the perfect place to stay quietly and unwind.

2. The vibrant colors of Busan: Walking between the sea and the people

Busan is a city full of lively energy. Walking along the sea at Gwangalli, I was uplifted by the laughter of people and the sounds of passing buskers. In the evening, the lights of Gwangandaegyo Bridge sparkled over the sea, and watching it made me feel far from lonely, even though I was alone.

At Jagalchi Market, the voices of merchants mixed with the Busan dialect felt warm and familiar. Wandering through the alleys of Gamcheon Culture Village gave me the feeling that time had stopped. Busan is a place that embraces you with the city's vibrant colors and warmth.
