Meeting Busan Again – Moments Found at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary History

To escape the everyday scenery of Busan, I visited the Busan Modern History Museum. It was a moment when the familiar city approached me with a completely new face.

Space and Atmosphere
The quiet atmosphere of the old building was impressive throughout the tour. In particular, the exhibition hall on the 3rd floor visually unfolds the history of Busan’s growth from a port city to a modern city. From old household items to faded letters to relics that can be touched… Various exhibits tell the story of the city like a small movie, going beyond simple ‘information.’

The permanent exhibition vividly depicts the major events and lifestyles that Busan experienced during the Japanese colonial period and until liberation, and the special exhibitions were prepared so that you could encounter new content each time you visited.
