near Gwangalli Beach Donggyeong Bapsang is a place where you can enjoy both health and atmosphere.

This Michelin-starred eel rice bowl restaurant in Busan offers a refined and sophisticated experience that goes beyond a simple meal.

I visited with a friend today, and we each ordered the signature dish, Unaju, and the popular Hitsumabushi.

Unaju features perfectly grilled eel neatly arranged on a bed of piping hot rice. From the first bite, the moist and tender texture filled my mouth.

Without the typical eel smell, the subtle sweet and salty soy sauce-based seasoning
combined with the rice, making the bowl disappear in no time.

On the other hand, Hitsumabushi features finely chopped eel,
which can be enjoyed in three ways (straight, with seasoning, or in ochazuke). I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a wider variety of flavors than Unaju.

This place, in particular, offered a course-style meal, from appetizer to main course, and finally, dessert (milk pudding), which made for a truly satisfying meal.

The milk pudding that concluded the meal was rich and smooth,
perfect for a refreshing after-dinner treat.

The interior, with its focus on wood, exudes a traditional Japanese sensibility,

making the dining space feel like a little Kyoto.
