During my trip to Busan, I made a special trip to Samgojeong Ginseng Chicken Soup near Seomyeon Station. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, with the warm atmosphere of a traditional Korean restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and our orders were served promptly. The signature ginseng chicken soup arrived steaming hot and fragrant, featuring a whole tender chicken stuffed with glutinous rice. The broth, a blend of ginseng and various herbs, is warm yet lightly sweet, instantly dispelling the fatigue of travel. The chicken was stewed to such tender tenderness that it easily detached with chopsticks. Paired with the glutinous rice, which soaked up the broth, it was rich and filling. In addition to the ginseng chicken, I also ordered a large bowl of bibimbap. The colorful vegetables, eggs, and sauces were mixed together, each bite offering a crisp and slightly spicy flavor, creating a striking contrast with the rich chicken broth and adding a richness of flavor. The accompanying side dishes were fresh and refreshing, especially the sour and spicy kimchi, which complemented the ginseng chicken or bibimbap beautifully. This meal is not only delicious but also embodies the wellness-conscious spirit of Korean cuisine. Whether you're looking to replenish your energy or simply enjoy authentic Korean cuisine, this spot, complete with a wall-length ginseng wine installation, is a must-see when visiting Seomyeon Station in Busan.
