Busan Leisure Humanities + Small Budget Check-in Itinerary Recommendation
The trip to Busan mainly visited several community attractions that are full of arts and crafts and not too crowded, tasting authentic food along the way and experiencing local life. Suitable for people who want to slowly feel the cultural atmosphere of Busan, like to take pictures, see the beautiful scenery.
🗺️【Route Arrangement】
PARK GIJONG MEMORIAL HALL → Shidai Coffee Shop → Busan 192 Hope Staircase → DAKBATGOL Mural Village → Take bus 70 → Change subway → centum city New World, Rakuten Supermarket → Haircut (nearby hairdresser) → PURADAK fried chicken
🎨【Must-See Photo Spot & Play Highlights】
Take the Subway Central Station - Opposite Busan Bank and change bus route - Bus No. 86/or Exit 1 of Subway Dongdaesin Station - Take Bus 70/Taxi/About 10 minutes walk - Monorail Point is staffed to assist, mostly marked #Residents Priority
1. Yizhou Cave Uphill Road Monorail
A Access: Subway Central Station Exit 1, take bus 43, 86, 186 to Busan Digital Technology High School Station and arrive.
A small community of tranquility and memorial, surrounded by monorails for residents and stairs showing the history of the railway, perfect for hipsters to take casual photos and accentuate the nearby humanistic atmosphere.
2. Poetry Belt Coffee Shop
The interior is decorated in a simple and warm style, with literary sentence illustrations on the walls. It is particularly comfortable and poetic to sit by the window on a rainy day and drink a cup of coffee, look at the street scene and write notes. (Friendly staff, speaks Korean but not very English, recommend mobile translation for easy ordering)
3. Busan Central Park
📍187, Wangyang-ro 193, Seo-gu, Busan (formerly Dae-young Park) and 37-18 Dae-sin Park-ro (formerly Dae-sin Park)
After a short break at the coffee shop, we turned over the hill to #CentralPark, the air was good, the spider web here is a bit big, there is a tourist advice station here. An A-jeo-ssi rushed to remind us to take pictures of the stone next to Central Park, which probably means "I am proud to be a Busaner". The Chunghun Tower and the Liberation Memorial Hall symbolize the historical memory of Korea.
The 192 Hope Staircase goes 200 meters ahead to the left, a hillside walkway and observation deck overlooking Busan Harbor and city views.
4. Busan 192 Ladder of Hope (192 희망계단)
📍Address: 87-302, Dongdaesin-dong 2-gil, Seo-gu, Busan Metropolitan Region
Characteristically painted stairs, near the new hotspot for photography, when you go up and down the stairs you can see the old district style on both sides, it is recommended to use a wide lens to take pictures slowly, the effect is more layered. The monorail is self-operated, with staff at the stations to let residents on first. There are 2 trucks, halfway to facilitate residents home.
5. DAKBATGOL Mural Village (닥밭골벽화마을)
📍Address: 87-218, Dongdaesin-dong 2-ga, Seo-gu, Busan Metropolitan Area (Dongdaeshin-dong 2-ga, Seo-gu, Busan)
Open year-round, residents and artists jointly remodeled the old neighborhood in 2010, turning it into a creative canvas. The village is divided into six themed areas with murals of fairy tales, nature and history painted on the walls, suitable for photography and walking. Keep a large number of Korean murals and painted alleys, turn the corner to find another cute painting, good weather, walk and take pictures, super healing!
Suggestion: Casual shoes deployed, many slopes, along the path frame by frame, there are many residential areas to be aware of the volume.
6. centum city New World Rakuten Supermarket
After playing in the mural village, we went to centum city to shop, then turned back the same way and took bus No. 70 to the subway station to change to the subway new world station. Authentic snacks, a large bag of drinks, and my favorite Greek yogurt, blue bottle coffee, yogurt cannot be carried on the plane with luggage, buy now and eat, stimulate the petty shopping soul.
7. Haircut (peripheral hair salons)
Found a hair salon in the lotte department nearby, and someone online recommended juno’s Hair (passing through Trump’s world, right upstairs from Home plus). Experience a Korean haircut, the price is about the same as Hong Kong and Macau, comfortable service is good, drinks are provided while waiting.
It is recommended to use a translation app to communicate with the hairstylist (hair pictures are useful too).
8. PURADAK fried chicken
A fried chicken shop chain, find a fried chicken shop to treat your itchy mouth. I heard that the fried chicken industry is Prada level, because it is called PURADAK. PURADAK is a popular local brand in Busan. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It recommends honey flavor and you can take it out to your bed and breakfast to eat slowly.
🚍[Transportation Tips]
It is very convenient to take bus No. 70 from DAKBATGOL Mural Village to the subway station. The drive is not long, and you will pass many local shops along the way.
🌧️ [Weather & Precautions]
The weather in Busan is sometimes unpredictable.
Some residential alleys require you to speak in a low voice and not disturb the residents.
💡【Warm Advice】
- Some coffee shops and supermarkets accept cash or Korean local cards, so it is recommended to bring cash.
- If you want to cut your hair, it is recommended to make an appointment, some hair salons WeChat or phone appointment service.
- Remember to Respect your private space when taking pictures, avoid staying too long at the door and other places.
