This time I will introduce a famous historical site in Cairo: Saladin Citadel. The Saladin Citadel is the largest castle in the Islamic world. It was built in 1176 by Saladin, King of the Ayyubid dynasty, to protect Cairo from the Crusaders. During the reign of Muhammad Ali, palaces and temples were built in the castle.
