Khan-el-Khalili Souk, Egypt's largest, most famous, and most historic traditional market, is located in the heart of Cairo's Old City (Islamic Cairo).

Khan-el-Khalili Souk, a traditional market built during the Mamluk Dynasty in the 14th century, served as a hub for international trade, bringing together merchants from the Middle East and Africa. Today, it's Egypt's most famous traditional market and a major tourist attraction in Cairo.

Here, you can purchase a variety of Egyptian souvenirs. Items include spices, perfumes, silverware, copper and brass lamps, carpets, Pharaonic statues, and scarves. You can also find handcrafted silverware and woodwork.

There are many traditional cafes and restaurants in and around the market. Try Daal Fishawi Cafetehu, a traditional cafe with over 200 years of history, for its mint tea and Arabian coffee.
