I believe that many tourists who come to Turkey come to see the magnificent hot air balloon scenery in Cappadocia. However, whether you can see the scenery of hot air balloons in the sky, or whether you are lucky enough to ride on a hot air balloon, everything depends on "luck". ⠀

Before setting off, I looked up a lot of tips on hot air balloon rides; such as which hot air balloon company is more reliable, which companies should never be chosen, etc. Before departure, I also visited the Butterfly Balloons official website and saw that the cost of a hot air balloon ride was as high as €190 (approximately HK$1,700), which made me a little hesitant at the time. ⠀

In addition, I have seen many travel notes pointing out that you can book a hot air balloon after arriving in Cappadocia and then take a ride the next day. So I put the hot air balloon booking on hold, thinking that it might be cheaper to book it when I arrived. ⠀

Only on the second day of arriving in Istanbul, when I passed by a local travel agency, did I decide to ask for details on booking a hot air balloon. Unexpectedly, the reply I got was: There are no seats available for the next one or two weeks... I was shocked and thought: Who said that the hot air balloon can be booked only after arriving? ⠀

So, I emailed the Cappadocia Hotel again, asking them to book a hot air balloon for me, but the response I got was the same. ⠀
