MGM Huafu Zhuhai Makes Its Global Debut! A Lingnan Hidden Gem at the Foot of Fenghuang Mountain

During my trip to Zhuhai, I stayed at the MGM Huafu Hotel in Xiangshan State Guesthouse, the brand's first global flagship property that blends international luxury standards with the essence of Chinese culture. Designed by academician He Jingtang and the top-tier CCD design team, this hotel is a textbook example of "Exquisite China, Contemporary Splendor!" Nestled at the foot of the winding Fenghuang Mountain and overlooking the serene Xiangshan Lake, the 76,800㎡ property houses only 147 rooms.

The hotel boasts an exceptional natural environment with over 300 plant species and dozens of bird varieties. Nearby attractions like Fenghuang Mountain hiking trails, Meixi Archway, Tangjia Ancient Town, and Huitong Ancient Village are worth exploring. Elements like blue-brick oyster-shell walls, colored-glass Manchu windows, Yunhua Terrace, the infinity pool, and the tea mountain terraced waterfall reinterpret Lingnan aesthetics through modern design. The courtyard's "Four Waters Returning to the Hall" symbolizes wealth and fortune, with every step offering a scene straight out of an ink painting!

🛏️ Rooms: A Perfect Clash of Eastern Elegance and Luxury
I stayed in the "Forest Retreat Courtyard Villa," a standalone villa featuring a traditional "front courtyard, rear garden" layout for ultimate privacy. The front courtyard is adorned with Lingnan garden accents, while the rear extends into natural scenery, creating an enclosed garden space. The bathroom design was my favorite—sunlight filtering through traditional lattice windows casts Cantonese silhouettes on Italian Prada marble countertops. The British JO LOVES amenities in "China Red" scent exude sophistication, and the mini-bar hidden in a Lingnan-patterned wardrobe is a delightful touch (first round complimentary!). If your budget allows, go for the standalone villa with a private pool. The pet-themed rooms even come with a dedicated lawn 🐾, so your furry friends can play freely.
