Visit National Museum of Indonesia!

Want a great way to spend your morning while bathing in the rich history and culture of Indonesia? Visit the National Museum of Indonesia! 🇮🇩 Did you know that the elephant statue in front of the museum was gifted by Siam in the 1800s?

📍The museum is located directly opposite MONAS - the National Monument - in Jakarta city center and is easily accessible by TransJakarta Bus. Just get off at the MONAS stop, exit the bus stop and cross the road. Otherwise, you can also grab a taxi or take the MRT to Bundaran HI Station and walk for around 10 minutes to get here.

🎟️ The ticket for foreigners costs 25,000 IDR which is around 2 USD. You can buy tickets at the door or prebook your ticket online.

🧭 You will be greeted by a vast collection of religious statues after you enter the museum building. There are two sections to explore: the first section covers one floor and showcases the history and traditions of Indonesia. The second section spans four floors and covers society, technology and ceramics/art.
