❣️ Wat Chaiyo Worawihan is a second-class royal temple located in Chaiyo District, Ang Thong Province. It was originally an old temple called Wat Chaiyo. Somdej Phra Phutthacharn (To Phrommarangsi), the abbot of Wat Rakhang Khositaram, chose this temple to build a large Buddha statue in the open air.

👏 Later, in 1887, during the reign of King Rama V, he visited and ordered the restoration of Wat Chaiyo Worawihan. However, the vibrations during the laying of the foundation of the temple caused the Luang Pho To to collapse. Therefore, he ordered the construction of a new Luang Pho To in the style of Luang Pho To of Wat Kalyanamit. It is 8 wa 6 inches wide and 11 wa 1 sok 7 inches high. He gave the name Phra Maha Phutthaphim. There was the biggest celebration in Ang Thong Province at that time 1
