"Leave your luggage to me, just focus on enjoying yourself." When I first met the butler, he was smiling as he waited for me by the roadside parking spot. This Republic-era-style building nestled along the Chuanzi River keeps the hustle and bustle outside its carved wooden doors. The lobby resembles a small art gallery, with Morandi-colored walls reflecting brass ornaments, and even the air feels purified—the cleaning auntie was diligently polishing the jet-black gold-brick floor until it shone like a mirror.
The room is so spacious you could dance the waltz! The retro-tiled bathroom features a vintage-style toilet, and a full set of L'Occitane products rests on the shelf. Sinking into the 2-meter-wide bed for a nap, a gentle doorbell chime announced, "Your afternoon tea has arrived." The butler carried a wooden tray, with snacks arranged like artwork on celadon plates. In the evening, the laundry room's drum turned softly, and the freshly dried clothes were returned with a warm fragrance, even the socks neatly folded.
In the morning, strolling along River Street, the sweet aroma of Lei tea wafted from the end of the alley. Upon returning, breakfast was already prepared: the steak tender and juicy, the vegetable salad adorned with nuts—a perfect blend of Eastern and Western flavors.
