Li Zijian Art Museum in Changsha is a must-visit for both its architecture and exhibits.

Located at 385 Section 1, Xiaoxiang South Road, Yuelu District, Changsha, Hunan Province, the museum is situated by the beautiful Xiang River and adjacent to Yanghu National Wetland Park. This modern public art museum was co-founded by renowned Chinese-American painter Li Zijian and his wife Dan Hui. Covering an area of 15.3 acres with a building area of over 25,000 square meters, the museum is surrounded by more than 180 acres of green space and lake environment, making it an ideal spot for visitors both indoors and outdoors.

In July 2017, the Li Zijian Art Museum was recognized by the British 'World Record Certification' as the world's largest artist's personal art museum. The museum features multiple exhibition areas, including the permanent exhibition hall of Li Zijian's oil paintings, temporary exhibition halls, a spiritual space, a meditation island, a water music hall, and a water art restaurant. The permanent exhibition hall showcases over 330 works from 17 series, including 'Homeland Series,' 'Mother and Daughter Series,' 'Red Quilt Series,' and 'American Wanderers.' Additionally, the Master Hsing Yun Calligraphy Hall, as a museum within the museum, displays many representative calligraphy works of Master Hsing Yun.

The architectural design of the museum is also unique, selected through a competition among several internationally renowned architects. The design concept integrates modernity with the harmony of the natural environment, creating an elegant yet accessible art space. The surrounding Yanghu Wetland Park offers visitors a great place to relax and unwind.
