Tianxin Pavilion, originally named Tianxing Pavilion, was a place for stargazing during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was famous for its view of the Changsha star. The Wenxin Fire of 1938 nearly destroyed the entire city of Changsha, including Tianxin Pavilion, leaving only a section of the city wall. Therefore, what we see today is a reconstructed building.
Due to its elevated location, Tianxin Pavilion offers panoramic views of Changsha. It holds cultural significance for the city's development, featuring diverse exhibits on ancient city changes, modern wars, and historical figures. The overall visitor experience is not overcrowded.
Tianxin Pavilion is renowned as "Ancient Pavilion of Xiaoxiang, Famous City of Qin and Han Dynasties."
(I didn't take any pictures inside because my family and I couldn't climb it! 😍)
